WHO WE ARE

Igbero is a platform dedicated to the presentation and cultural placement of African Biblical art. The initiative brings together artists, collectors, and institutions through The Gospel According to the Renaissance Man Art Collection, a body of work exploring the narratives of Genesis through contemporary African artistic expression.
Through exhibitions, acquisitions, and institutional collaborations, Igbero seeks to extend the presence of these works across homes, public spaces, and cultural environments. In doing so, the platform contributes to the growing recognition of African Biblical art within the wider cultural landscape.

The Gospel According to the Renaissance Man Art Collection presents a visual exploration of the early narratives of Genesis. Created by a group of contemporary African artists, the works interpret moments from scripture through diverse materials, techniques, and artistic perspectives.
Each piece contributes to a broader narrative sequence, allowing the collection to be experienced both as individual works and as a continuous visual reflection on the biblical text. Through Igbero, the collection is presented as an evolving cultural project that invites engagement from collectors, institutions, and audiences interested in the intersection of art, scripture, and cultural expression.
